When designing the Launcher XL HALO Fairway Wood for ladies, Cleveland decided on using a 190cc head that is able to generate an incredible MOI of 3,338 g-cm², to make the most forgiving Cleveland Golf Fairway Wood.
While offering golfers maximum forgiveness, the Launcher XL Halo has also been designed to offer players higher launch by using low-and-deep weighting inside the club head to offer extreme distance of shots.
The internal weight is paired with a hibore stepped crown to lower the centre of gravity of the club to provide even higher launching shots.
On the sole of the club, Cleveland has placed two glide rails to enhance confidence, no matter what surface or how rough the lie is. The rails allow for the face of the club to remain straight on impact and make sure that players have optimal striking form.
Working with the Cleveland Launcher XL HALO Fairway Wood’s head design in the new rebound frame which features two flex zones. These alternating zones work together, with one providing maximum flexibility and the other rigidity, to transfer more energy into the golf ball to increase ball speed and maximise the distance that golfers can reach on their drives.
The XL HALO Fairway has been designed to provide lady golfers with more control, with a custom configuration that is half an inch shorter without counterbalancing. And to provide players with even more control, an 8g weight has been placed inside the end of the grip which allows for better balance for more control without extra effort.
