FootJoy knows that a long day of golf can be physically taxing, especially on a golfer's feet, so they have designed a pair of golf shoes that not only allows for great play but also offers a cushioning base to play on so that spend a day golfing in incredible comfort.
This comfort has been achieved by using a thicker Ortholites Impressions FitBed cushioning that provides exceptional comfort. This comfort is then paired with a FTF+ dual durometer insole which has been specifically used because of its varying levels of softness throughout the design. Using a varying level design means that the midsole not only provides incredible comfort but also offers greater performance.
The performance of these golf shoes has been made possible thanks to the use of a TPU exterior heel counter which has been wrapped in a new A-Frame support system that fuses the heel, counter and midsole together. By using this system the FootJoy Tour Alpha golf shoes provide the essential support that is needed when creating big drives down the fairway but also creates brilliant traction with the turf.
The heel counter on the Tour Alpha golf shoes uses a 3D mould that provides a stiffer and lighter design that provides support in the lower section of a golfer's Achilles and locks their heel into place when they swing so that more power can be generated.
