The MG5 wedge is the first in the Milled Grind family to feature a fully forged construction. Forged from a billet of soft carbon steel, every MG5 wedge goes through a meticulous shaping and milling process to ensure unrivalled consistency in weight, shaping, and feel. The result is an ultra-soft forged feel that better players crave - especially around the green.
MG5 is the first wedge in the Milled Grind line to utilise saw-milled grooves, engineered with tighter tolerances and sharper edges. This process allows TaylorMade to get closer than ever to the legal limit for groove geometry - delivering more spin and shot-stopping control on every shot.
When it's wet, MG5 stays sharp. A RAW face and Spin Tread Technology combine to redirect moisture at impact - acting like tread on a tyre to maintain friction. Testing shows MG5 retains 13% more spin in wet conditions than the previous MG4, helping maintain consistency across all playing environments.
