The SkyCaddie LX5 GPS Golf Watch brings advanced handheld-style golf GPS technology to your wrist, combining detailed full-colour course maps with a bright 1.39" AMOLED touchscreen. Designed for golfers who want much more than basic front, centre and back yardages, the LX5 provides a detailed view of each hole to help improve strategy, club selection and confidence on the course.
Preloaded with more than 35,000 SkyGolf ground-verified course maps, the LX5 provides HoleVue® hole graphics, IntelliGreen® green information, dynamic yardages, target distances and powerful zoom and pan functionality. An ultra-fast multi-core processor keeps operation responsive, while automatic course selection, hole advancement and continuously updated distances make the watch simple to use during play.
With digital scoring, shot tracking, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, fitness functions and up to two rounds of battery life, the SkyCaddie LX5 combines serious golf GPS functionality with the convenience of an everyday smartwatch.
The centrepiece of the LX5 is its large 1.39" AMOLED colour touchscreen. With a high-resolution 454 x 454 display, detailed course graphics, yardages and green information are presented clearly directly on your wrist.
The bright AMOLED technology provides excellent visibility outdoors while allowing SkyCaddie to display far more detailed course information than a conventional distance-only golf watch.
The LX5 comes preloaded with access to more than 35,000 SkyGolf golf course maps. SkyCaddie uses professional ground mapping to create and maintain its course database, helping provide accurate coordinates for important course features.
Rather than relying solely on third-party aerial imagery, SkyGolf's mapping process is designed specifically around the information golfers need when navigating a course.
HoleVue® provides a detailed overhead representation of the golf hole, helping you understand the layout before deciding how to play your next shot.
The touchscreen allows you to zoom, pan and explore different areas of the hole, making it easier to identify hazards, landing areas and strategic targets. This can be particularly valuable when playing an unfamiliar course or facing blind shots and doglegs.
SkyCaddie's patented IntelliGreen® displays the shape of the green according to your angle of approach rather than showing only a generic front, centre and back measurement.
The system provides distances to the front and back of the green as well as selected points in between, giving golfers more information when deciding how aggressively to attack a particular pin position.
On supported courses, IntelliGreen® Pro provides additional detail about the putting surface. Major tiers, contours, false fronts and mounds can be displayed from your angle of approach.
This additional information can be especially useful when playing larger or more complex greens where simply knowing the distance to the centre may not provide enough information for accurate club selection.
SkyCaddie PinPoint® technology allows pin sheet or zone information to be entered into the LX5, enabling the watch to provide a distance to the relevant pin location.
Combined with IntelliGreen®, golfers can see front, back and selected pin information alongside the shape and depth of the green, even when the flag itself cannot be seen from the current position.
For golfers who want information quickly, the LX5 provides clear dynamic distances to the front, centre and back of the green.
These measurements continually update according to your position and angle of approach, giving you useful information without needing to aim the device at a target.
SkyCaddie's Intelligent Automation™ technology is designed to minimise the amount of interaction required during a round.
This allows the LX5 to keep relevant information ready while you concentrate on playing golf.
The LX5 can replace a conventional scorecard by allowing you to record your score as you play. Additional statistics can include total putts, greens in regulation, fairways hit or missed and round time.
Round information can be synchronised with the SkyGolf 360 Cloud, where golfers can analyse longer-term trends, strengths and weaknesses.
The SkyCaddie LX5 can also track individual golf shots, recording information such as which club was used, how far the shot travelled and where it was played from.
After the round, compatible information can be synchronised through Wi-Fi and analysed within SkyGolf 360, providing a more detailed picture of how different clubs are performing on the course.
A dedicated shot-measurement function allows golfers to calculate how far individual shots have travelled. Building an accurate understanding of your real-world club distances can improve future club selection and help remove guesswork from approach shots.
Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity makes updating and synchronising the LX5 straightforward. Wi-Fi allows compatible course and software information to be downloaded without routinely connecting the watch to a computer.
Bluetooth 4.2 provides wireless connectivity with compatible SkyGolf services and devices.
A high-capacity rechargeable Li-Polymer battery provides enough power for up to two rounds of golf on a single charge, depending on usage.
The LX5 charges through the supplied magnetic charging cable, making it easy to recharge between rounds.
Away from the golf course, the LX5 provides a selection of useful everyday and fitness functions. These include a heart-rate monitor, step counter, step goals, distance measurement, stopwatch and timer.
Multiple watch faces allow the appearance of the display to be personalised, making the LX5 suitable for wearing both on and away from the course.
