The Cobra MIM Widesport 40 SB Putter brings together the clean appearance of a traditional blade with the added stability of a wider-bodied head. Its broader profile allows weight to be distributed more effectively around the head, providing additional forgiveness while maintaining the familiar look many golfers prefer when standing over the ball.
Built using Cobra's precision Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) process, the Widesport 40 SB combines highly accurate 304 stainless steel construction with a new-generation Pebax® face insert and LA GOLF Descending Loft Technology™. A single-bend shaft creates a face-balanced configuration with 0° toe hang, making this model particularly well suited to golfers who produce a neutral, straighter putting stroke.
The Widesport 40 SB provides an appealing middle ground between a conventional blade and a larger mallet. Its wider flange retains a traditional blade-inspired appearance while creating additional space to position weight around the head for improved stability.
This design provides a reassuring look at address and increased resistance to twisting on off-centre strikes, making it a strong choice for golfers who want additional forgiveness without moving to a full mallet.
Cobra manufactures the head using an advanced Metal Injection Moulding process. MIM enables intricate shaping and exceptionally consistent dimensions while creating the uniform structure required from a premium performance putter.

The Widesport 40 SB incorporates a lightweight Pebax® face insert engineered to combine responsive feedback with a softer impact sensation. The insert's construction also saves weight from the face area, allowing additional mass to be redistributed towards the heel and toe.
This optimised perimeter weighting increases stability and helps reduce unwanted head rotation when contact occurs away from the centre of the face.
LA GOLF Descending Loft Technology™ (DLT) is incorporated into the face to help deliver more consistent launch conditions across different impact positions and amounts of shaft lean.
Four progressively changing loft zones of 4°, 3°, 2° and 1° are designed to encourage an efficient launch followed by smooth end-over-end roll, helping golfers achieve more predictable speed and distance control.
The SB designation refers to the single-bend shaft configuration. This setup creates 0° of toe hang and face-balanced characteristics, making the Widesport 40 SB particularly appropriate for golfers who prefer minimal face rotation during their putting stroke.
Combined with the additional stability of the wide-body head, the single-bend configuration creates a controlled setup designed to remain stable throughout the stroke.
