Toulon Design Madison H1 Pistol Putter
The Toulon Design Madison is a tour proven classically designed heel toe weighted blade which is best suited for players whose strokes feature a moderate arc and face rotation.
Weighting has been a key focus when designing this putter, with Odyssey implementing a new two split-weight design. This design moves weights that are installed in the head of the putter further forward, and towards the toe and heel. Movement of the weights improves the inertia of the head, while also improving the consistency of impact and forward rolling. These factors all help players play with consistent speed and allow for a higher level of performance.
This head weighting works hand in hand with the Madison putter being a toe weighted blade as it can provide better distance control and accuracy on longer putts. This choice of putter style also complements the additional weight movement that has been made when creating the multi-material shaft. The new shaft features a reduction of 40 grams which has been re-used by placing the weight in other areas to rebalance the putter to allow for improved tempo and consistency in players strokes.
The Madison putter features a plumber neck, which works best for players whose stroke often arcs straight back and straight through, that connects to the club head that now uses Diamond groove mill pattern to allow for control of both sound and feel, creating a putter that Odyssey says is their best-rolling Toulon design putter ever.
