The 3DP Tour Irons from COBRA Golf mark a breakthrough in iron technology. Constructed entirely using 3D printing with 316 stainless steel, these irons represent a new era of performance. Internal latticing, only possible through 3D printing, enables optimised weight distribution, delivering unmatched forgiveness in a compact players' blade design.
Each iron is crafted using advanced 3D printing techniques with 316 stainless steel. This process provides substantial benefits over traditional casting or forging, offering greater design freedom and unlocking new performance advantages. The result is a unique combination of elite precision and consistency across the set.
Through innovative design enabled by 3D printing, COBRA has produced a players' blade that looks compact at address while maintaining the performance traits of a game-improvement iron. The club offers higher MOI for stability and a lower CG for an elevated launch, all without compromising the look and feel better players prefer.
Utilising advanced topology optimisation software from nTop, COBRA engineers incorporated an internal lattice structure that redistributes 33% of the total head weight. This innovation achieves the highest possible MOI in a small blade profile, delivering greater forgiveness with precise shot-making control.
The 3D printed lattice structure is not only vital for weight distribution--it also plays a crucial role in enhancing the acoustics and feel of each shot. Its stiffness and internal reinforcement provide soft, solid impact feedback that discerning golfers will appreciate.
Thanks to the discretionary weight savings from the internal design, COBRA has integrated up to 100 grams of tungsten strategically into the heel and toe. This positioning promotes a low centre of gravity and high MOI--mirroring the performance of a game-improvement iron in a blade form factor.
